I wrote this song originally as an up-tempo Smooth Jazz tune, but during its production, we slowed the tempo, and the feel of the song emerged into this worship ballad. I love performing this song because of the underlying meaning, which is that God's love is forever true. He said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." That's a promise.
