JONNO - Saxophonist, Singer, Songwriter, Speaker
Jonno is a saxophonist, singer, songwriter, worship leader, and speaker anointed to deliver the undiluted “good news” of our Lord and Savior Jesus, The Christ and of His Kingdom. His God breathed talent has taken him across the country ministering in word and in song. He is in demand for church services, worship workshops, music seminars, conferences, church events, and professional sport chapels.
He has shared the stage with the likes of Israel & New Breed, Donnie McClurkin, Michael & Regina Winans, Daniel Winans, Brent Jones & the TP Mob, Fred Hammond, David Ivey, Bishop Joseph Garlington, Bishop Eddie Long, Howard McCrary, Wintley Phipps, Morris Chapman, Alvin Chea (of Take 6), Javen, Jared Ming, Alvin Slaughter, Fletch Wiley, Tim Miner, Maura Gale, Dean Mills, and others. He has been seen on the “Praise The Lord” program on TBN, and has been heard on radio around the country. He has also ministered at mass events such as “The Call”. In addition to his own CD projects, Jonno has recorded with several other artists adding his talent on the soprano saxophone.
Jonno authors the e-mail article “The Moving Up-Words.” This e-encouragement article reaches thousands of individuals, as well as being viewable on his website. With strong conviction and obedience he has completed the work on this, his first book (soon to be published) focusing on the musician in the church: a greatly needed revelation for a forgotten generation.
Jonno is the founder of Moving Up-Words Music; a ministry focused on edifying and educating the leaders of worship in our houses of worship. Through the vehicle of MUWM he has founded the “Building True Worshippers Seminars”, which is offered to churches and ministry organizations.
Jonno’s uncompromising stance on the topic of “True Worship” has become the foundation on which stands his ministry and assignment. His love for God, and his passion, sensitivity, and responsibility for the presence of the Lord are displayed through his words, spoken and unspoken (musically). His heart’s desire is to see the “true worshippers” come back to the Father, and for the “remnant” being active and working within their God given authority. His life pursuit is to do two things: glorify God, and edify others.
Jonno has recently joined the SRM Records team, an independent Christian record label, as an Artist Producer.
Jonno is married to his wife of 18 years Tonya, and they are the loving parents of their four gorgeous daughters: Alyssa, Morgan, Madison, and Alanna. As a family, they reside in San Leandro, CA, and are active members of San Francisco Christian Center [Bishop Donald E. Green, Senior Pastor].
